Did you know ...
If you have a screw that would rather spin than tighten try this trick. Remove the screw, find a wooden match stick, toothpick(s), a shishkebob skewer or any type of twig. Put it in the hole, break it off even with the surface, and put the screw back in. The piece of wood will take up some room and the screw will be able to tighten. If the screw is into a door hinge or something that gets a fair amount of use, a shaving from a piece of hardwood (oak, maple, etc) will last longer.
